Aw, these paintings are gorgeously fantastic! I love them!
My sister and brother in law were married in 1977, they have just celebrated their 30th anniversary...and the thing is, in their photos of going out together, they look just like Nell and John Ross...ha-ha-ha in the nicest possible way, mind you!

We sometimes get tied up in other things, that we just don't get to everything.

Thanks all for your appreciation of my wee efforts. Hi Mam I havent painted for ages, I used to paint in the spare bedroom, had it all cleared for my painting, but my daughter Isla came to live with us and we had to clear it and decorate and furnish it for her, so I have nowhere to paint now, its very messy and I need a dedicated room for it. I'd rather have Isla living with us than the painting anywiy. I will go back to the painting in my dotage John's stull waiting fur me tae cut aff my ear I have loads of paintings, I will get a new scanner and post another few sometime.

yer paintings are great nell , am an artist myself i used tae go to art classes twice a week at nights in bernard street school and during the summer holidays with a mr scott art teacher in bernard street school, i loved it and i went to ealing college in west london about 10 years ago but didnt think the teacher could teach me anything that i already knew so i stopped going i,ve got a painting on the go now an oil of walker, inciting the apprentice boys of derry, i,ll show you it on this post when i,ve finished about 3 or 4 more sessions to go i think ,the longest painting i,ve done took me 4 months day and night to complete, it was a full size 3ft portrait of my ex wife, of her in a barn, painting straw was quite hard any idea how many yellows, there are haha it was a nightmare especially as she had long blonde hair too never again ??

Thank everybody for yir compliments aboot ma paintings, but its very much a hobby, ah canny draw ah jist paint straight oantae the canvas and ah make the pictures up oot of mah heid.

Thank you PMW437, painting and playing the guitar are my hobbies, I also dabble in short stories and doggerel, there is one of my short stories in the "Stories yir ain work" thread (PAGE 2) its kind of gotten buried amongst Petrebs stories, I am a wee bit proud of it I dont paint much these days, nowhere to paint
