I hope you like ma wee painting of Castle Connell in Ireland, painting keeps me going and keeps me sane. The wee squggle in the sky was done by a paint programme that didny work but it's not on the original painting.

When I went to visit Lizzy in Cambridge (Great Weekend by the way) we exchanged gifts and Lizzy's gift to me was her painting "Backcourt Bogey" which now hangs in pride of place in my front room, and everyone who visits us remarks on how much they like it. Thanks again Lizzy, a wiz "over the moon" when you gave me such a precious thing. Luv Nell

Hi Nunnyboy, it was done with watercolours on rough paper which probably gives it a kind of canvas look. I always use rough paper as I like the texture. I'm a member of the Simply Painting web site and it's good to see other peoples work. By the way, I love the way you paint people, mine are fine as long as you don't see too much of their face, I've got a problem getting the faces right. Anyway, it would be good to see more of your work especially from a fellow Scot and I've given you the link below if you want to have a wee look. www.simplypainting.com/

Hi again Lizzy so thats what the pattern was the rough paper it looks very good anyway well done, Yes people and figures can be difficult to paint , Am not to bad at people as i have studied Anatomy for a lot of years. i painted a large water colour once, of the battle of Cullodon and you could imagine the people that were in the painting , Iv got 4 new paintings going on my webpage soon, All Norfolk landscapes cheers, ,,nunnyboy,,
