Is it the right thing to mention....? In February of this year my daughter sent off for 'Ah belang tae Glesca' for my birthday (although she didn't know I already had a copy), and although the payment was deducted from her account, she didn't receive the book. And as I had a copy anyway no great fuss was made, she bought me another present, and the matter was forgotten.

Or indeed I'll give you his email address if you'd rather deal with him direct.

POSTED by Billy888 I wonder if anyone can help. My Wife ordered the book "Ah Belang tae Glasgow" on July 30th 2007 for my Birthday. But the book never arrived I have sent two emails to the author (John Mc Barron) along with the confirmation number, but there was no reply. Not really sure what happened? My wife paid via credit card and the transaction was successful she was furnished with details/receipt informing her the book would be shipped, but all to no avail. I have still got the receipt. I am based in Hong Kong, (originally hail from the Gallowgate) the other book my wife ordered (Last Exit from Bridgeton) arrived, no problems, and may I say the Last Exit from Bridgeton is a good book, I enjoyed ever page, also I had no idea the Gallowgate was once called Great Eastern Rd until I read James McKenna's book. I am now desperate to have a read of the book "Ah belang tae Glasgow", and would be willing to order again, but I am worried the same thing may happen. Any help at this point would be greatly appreciated. Regards, and All the best for 2008 Billy

Good News - Billy888 was able to produce proof of purchase and the author has posted his book off to Billy888 in Hong Kong this morning.
