For those of you who want to buy the book from Amazon you should be able to do so now. This my publisher advises would be the best way for people overseas who have ordered the book. I will have full details tomorrow and will be contacting the people that I have listed individually by P.M.

Amazon !! amazon charge a fortune in commission jamesboy you'd be better aff posting them yourself.
Wee John who wrote Ah Belang tae Glasgow told me Amazon took the most commission from book sales, John tae his credit donated a £1 tae Glesca Pals for every book sold through his Glesca Pals webspage or Glesca Pals contacts.

Fair enough Webmaister, but the commission will not affect my earnings from the book. My contract says I get a set percentage of sales. And well,I am sure people will order the book from Glesca Pals.

Jimmy I have heard from a reliable source that this book of yours is just an update of stuff that ye didnae put in the first issue...if that is the case I'll not be buying it as the first wan was a load of keech. Sorry tae say it Jamesey but who in their right mind wid waant tae read about wee boy going for messages wi' his maw in Bridgeton Main Street every Seterday moarning...no me anyway. Jamesy, tae get Charlie aff yer back wance an' fer a' oan this book issue, can ye make sure that in the next edition (therr'l be many merr ahm sure) ye could maybe alter that wee bit when y'er talkin' aboot goin' doon the Main Street haudin' oan tae yer Mammy's haun' oan yer wey tae 'Blerr's the butchers' tae read:- ".....as I felt the pleasure of haudin' my Mother's haun I prayed (almost out loud) that God, in his infinite mercy, wid allow ordinary weans in ordinary places like Parkheid, tae be daein' the same thing'. It widnae be too hard tae dae that wid it? Maybe make Charlie feel not so left out of things. The fame etc that goes with a successful book launch. There's a good chap. ;D

C'mon Chas, You are on record as saying you did not experience poverty.
Bob, Ally I don't have the first edition any more so I cannot check. Let me know Bob how your Langside friend 'views' East-End life.

Well Charlie, you go a bit further than I do. I have never stated I came from a well-off family. We were not in absolute terms 'well-off' only in relative terms. I did see some poverty though, but never experienced it. I still maintain that its loads to do with when you were born. Someone born in say 1942 could have had entirely different experiences when they were about seven than someons seven in 1954 as I was.
