NOTE GlescaPals offer of a signed copy at 33% off the cost - from MAY 2013NEW book by oor very own 'glesca artist' - click here GLIMPSES of TIMES PAST "Glimpses of Times Past" is a book of original paintings by William M. Neilly, aka 'glesca artist', of the area surrounding the Athletes' Village of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, in the heart of one of the UK's largest regeneration areas. It captures everyday life as it was when the artist/author was a child growing up in Bridgeton and Dalmarnock in the East End of Glasgow during the 1950s and 60s. His nostalgic paintings are comprehensively captioned with snippets of local history and include images of famous and historic landmarks such as Bridgeton Cross Umbrella, the Olympia Building and the Scottish Baronial style, Rutherglen Town Hall. There are also images of buildings, structures and transport of bygone days. Prints of any of the Paintings featured in the book are also available from the GlescaPals website. The book is primarily intended for all those many thousands of people who lived and worked in the area or who were relocated during the long period of economic decline. It is hoped that for them fond memories will come flooding back and for others, the book will give a glimpse of the past in the place which they have visited during the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, or the place in which they will make their home and place of work following regeneration of the area over the next two decades under the auspices of the Clyde Gateway project. Save 33% (£4.95) off the RRP and get a signed copy of the book sent to your home by simply ordering the book through GlescaPals & pay by PayPal or cheque. Thanks folks. The hardest part is marketing the book and hopefully that's where Glesca Pals message board and adverts excels.

Thank you Gesca Artist I received my book to-day.
I am delighted to see a couple of my favourite paintings you had done In it as I was unable to purchase them as someone else had beat me to buying them first so at least I can look at them whenever I want.
Thanks again.
